V TO TRY GERHARDY SLAYER Trial of Trainer Webb, Who Killed Judge at Akron, Postponed Until April. AKRON, O., Jan. 28. Marion Webb, a trainer, who shot and killed judge Fred Ger-hardy in the Portage Hotel here October 2 last, will be tried for the crime at the April term of common pleas court. His trial was originally set for February 7, but at a conference of the common pleas judges the postponement was recently decided upon. Webb had applied for permission through his counsel to go to Cuba for the purpose of taking depositions of material witnesses now at Havana. This plea was rejected because AVebb would automatically be freed if he left the territorial jurisdiction of the United States. The postponement was decided upon because by the April term these witnesses will have returned to this country.
