BLACK SHASTA set the pace to the first quarter, then dropped back to the rear, but came with an electric burst cf speed through the stretch and got up to win in the final strides. LIZETTE raced into the lead a sixteenth out, but gave way to the winner right at the end. FAIR ORIENT finished fast on the outside. GINGER and EL ROBI.E tired badly.
