EXTERMINATOR IN TRIUMPHANT RETURN. SAN DIEGO, Cal., Feb. 17. The gallant Exterminator, one of the greatest and most popular race horses in .American turf history, returned triumphantto the races today when he won the mils and seventy yards of the fourth race at Tijuana. Exterminator has not raced since last April, when he fell lame. There was no sign of lameness nor any other infirmity today and the great gelding showed that he was fit and ready after careful training under the watchful eye of Henry McDaniel, who developed the horse for Mr. Kilmer as a three-year-old. Never before at the xijuana course was a horse accorded such an ovation as was bestowed on Exterminator as he crossed the winning line a length in front of his nearest opponent. The crowd simply went wild. Exterminator is being pointed for the rich Coffroth Handicap and, after todays showing, it seems certain that he will add that trophy to his long list of successes.
