PARKE HOLDS A BIG LEAD Rides Ten Winners Last Week and Increases His Total to 69 Since January 1. Jockey Ivan Parke is apparently destined to smash all previous riding records in this country. Certain it is he has a big start in that direction and there seems to be nothing to stop him unless an accident or sickness prevent him from accepting mounts. It matters not what horses he may ride, good, bad or indifferent, he wins with them all and, instead of encountering the dreaded "slump" that the majority of riders meet at one time or another, Dame Fortune apparently always smiles on Parke. Last week he rode ten winners and now has a total of 69 and a percentage of .30 to his credit. His nearest rival, S. ODonnell, riding at Tijuana, was out of the saddle for several days and as a consequence Parke now has a lead of 23 over him. Aside from Parke. L. McDermott, J. Wallace and O. Pernia were quite successful last week, each riding six winners. J. Callahan, L. Lang and P. G. Groos all did well, each with five winning mounts.
