CEDRIC raced to the front with a rush while rounding the last turn and, finishing gamely, although tiring, outstayed .LADY LE BAND. The latter showed the most early speed and after being passed made a game finish and was wearing the winner down at the end. LEMON SETH ran well and finished resolutely. JAY ROBERTS closed a big gap from a slow beginning. AVILD THOUGHTS tired. DERNIER SOU ran well and is better over a longer route. BRIAN KENT was saved nntil after turning for home, where he wrested the lead from the earlr pacemaker and, under vigorous riding, barely managed to hold hisadvantage. ENCRINITE, last at the start, saved grouud on all the turns and finished with a great burst of speed, but just failed to get up. FRANK FOGARTY set the pace to the last sixteenth, where he tired and gave way. The others w.ere beaten off. MONARDELLA finished with a great rush on the .titside and outstayed PIEDRA. The latter closed a big gap. LIZETTE seemed all over the winner when turning for home, but tired in the final sixteenth.
