HILDRETHS ASSISTANT ILL, NEW YORK, N. Y., March 14. Herman Brandt, assistant to S. C. Hildreth at Ran-cocas Farm, is convalescing at Trenton Hospital after a serious attack of pneumonia. Brandt, while trainer for the late Barney Schreibcr, developed Jack Atkin. For four years he has been breaking the yearlings at Rancocas.
