BRYAN SHOWS IMPROVEMENT NEW ORLEANS, La., March 2G. Word received today by Dominic J. Tortorich from Mobile was that Gadson D. Bryan, who suffered a stroke of apoplexy in that city last Sunday, was steadily improving and regaining his speecli rapidly. Mr. Tortorich, as well as A. R. Rouprich, who are interested with Mr. Bryan in the Jefferson Park course, plan to spend Sunday with the stricken turfman. Joseph L. Schlessinger, who underwent a minor operation here several days ago, departed j tonight for Bowie, Md. Schlessinger , will make the riding engagements for jockey I J. Wallace at the first of the Maryland spring, meetings.
