April 9.— Clear weather and la fast track at Belmont Park Wednesday! morning attracted practically all of the | horses quartered here to the main course of training gallops. I August Belmont and his son, Raymond, arrived at the track early to see the horses Of the stable pot through their paces by trainer Louis Eeustel. The four-year-old filly How Fair, was sent five-eighths in 1:02%. She went the first half mile in 49.1 How Fair wintered in Kentucky and was shipped to Belmont Park late in February. I I Marbler was sent an easy three-eighths ml I 3G%. Ordinance and Pricemaker went a , similar distance a fifth of a second slower, I while Blind Play and Bevys time was tl. All of the horses accomplished their tasks I easily and Major Belmont was well pleased with their showing. Mrs. W. K. Yanderbilt II. and her daughter ahw reached the track at an early boar to see trainer Max Hirsch work SarasenJ the Kentucky Derby favorite. After sending his horses once around the main course at Ian easy gait, trainer Hirsch started Prince Hamlet and Barasen from the far turn for an easy half-mile in 49%.
