BREEDING OF MASSINE XEW YORK. N. Y., April 9— C. J. Fit* j Gerald of the Jockey Club points out that ! Massine, which defeated Sir Gallahad III., the Lincolnshire winner, in the Prix de Sab-1 Ions at Longchamps last Sunday, represents an almost ideal blending of the St. Simon and Bend Or blood. His sire, Consols, is a | son of St Bris by St. Simon from Console. j His dam, Mauri, is a daughter of the French I Derby winner, Ajax, whose sire was La Camargo, a son of Childwick. ChilUwick was a son of St Simon and Plaisanterie. Thus both St. Simon and Bend Or are represented in both maternal and paternal sides of Massines pedigree.
