GRANT TURNER LICENSE NEW YORK. April 22— Clarence Turner, contract jockey of Victor Vivaudous Riviera Stable, whose application for a license was! laid on the table at a recent meeting of the Jockey Club stewards, was granted papers by tlie license committee at a meeting held Tuesday afternoon. H. Knapp, J. E. Davis and J. E. Widener were the members of the license committee who aeted fin the deferred question. Turners license was held up for reasons which have not been made public, but it is understood that a ride on Houri at Aqueduct last pear eras at the bottom of the trouble.
