LI N ETTA was cut off nt the half and knrcked back, but came again and outfinished REDSTONE. The latter showed the most speed to the stretch under light restraint, but tired when called on. UltiHKAKT lost much ground by being on the outside on the first two turns, but responded gamely to hard riding in the stretch and got up to win in the final stride. HEELTAPS foil-wed NHW HAMPSHIRE closest under light restraint and made a game finish. NEW HAMPSHIRE rushed to the front and set a fast pan to the last eighth, but tired when challenged in the last sixteenth. CALCUTTA saved much ground on the stretch turn and made a fast finish.
