— ■ — ■ FAIR LATONIA DAILY TURF GOSSIP AT NOTED KENTUCKY TRACK LATONIA, Ky., June 7. John Haohmeister, former general manager of the Latonia and Douglas Park tracks, was among Saturdays visitors. He just returned from a winter visit to Florida and will depart soon on a business trip to Colorado where he has extensive interests. Jockey W. Kelsay, who had the mount on Phidias in the second race, disqualified after finishing in second place, was suspended for ten days by the stewards for rough riding. Col. Andrew S. Vennie, resident of Churchill Downs, was among the visitors. "Affairs at the Downs are in such good shape that 1 am able to enjoy the good racing here and will remain probably for the remainder of the meeting." J. H. Louchheim, owner of the horses trained by J. S. Ownbey, made a trip here from Philadelphia to witness the racing today and will visit some of the leingtcn farms tomorrow before returning East. Sporty McGee was excused from starting in the second race by the stewards because he has cracked heels.
