TODAYS OUTSTANDING RACING ATTRACTIONS 9 * « BROOKLYN HANDICAP HEADLINER ♦ Zev, Mad Hatter, Cherry Pie and Other Stars in Noted Old Race— Large and High-Class Field for Enquirer Handicap to Be Run at Fair Latonia This Afternoon There is much promise in the racing scheduled for today. In the East Aqueduct takes the place of Belmont Park and for the inaugural days sport the Queens County Jockey Cub has provided the noted Brooklyn Handicap for the main attraction, while the Bayside Selling Steeplechase will interest the devotees of races through the field. At Latonia the Enquirer Handicap is the headliner of a program of seven races that assures the big crowd certain to be present of an afternoon of enjoyable sport. For the thirty-sixth running of the Brooklyn Handicap Zev, Mad Hatter, Cherry Pie, Rialto, Enchantment, Prince of Umbria, Hephaistos and other stars are named to start and there is every prospect that all the old traditions of this famous race will be maintained when these gallant thoroughbreds meet in battle array. The Enquirer Handicap should provide patrons of Latonia with many a thrill. The field for this fixture is large in number and sparkles in quality. With such exponents of speed and stamina as Actuary, Moonraker, Audacious, Startle, Exodus, Hopeless, Alice Blue Gown, Dazzler, King Gorin II. and others it will indeed be surprising if the race is not a smashing, stubbornly contested struggle from the rise of the barrier to ths last stride. A glance over the various programs offered for Saturday indicates in no uncertain manner that some wonderful sport is in sight for the immense crowds that will find their way to Aqueduct, Latonia, Dorval Park, Omaha and points ebewhere.
