♦ , TURF NEWS OF THE DAY FROM AQUEDUCT NEW YORK, N. Y.. June 17. The Joaquina Stable claimed Wedlock from J. S. Cosden for ,000. Dr. H. J. McCarthy, the Baltimore veterinarian, was a visitor yesterday. D. T. lx:onard claimed Cobham for ,200 and G. W. Coburn took Bowman for ,000. Claims at Aqueduct were as follows : K. J. Morrour claimed First Pick for ,500, C. P.uxton took War Mask for ,500 and W. J. Both secured Gay Ben for ,500. John Lowe has severed his connections as trainer for the F. Johnson stable and plans an invasion of Chicago for the coming Hawthorne meeting. Following the separation between John Lowe and Frederick Johnson, it was announced that the latter would train his own horses in the future. The stable will race at Saratoga, Belmcnt Park and then La-tonja for a fall campaign.
