THE COMPETITOR, close up in the early running, was saved for three-quarters, but had to be ridden hard in the stretch to outfinish P.ISH BICK. The latter led most of the way, saved much ground on the turns and made a game finish. LADY JANE closed a big gap in the last quarter. FLORENCE W. went well. KLAXON suffered from much interference on the first turn. MASON s TOWLE was done after going three-quarters. Won easily; second and third driving. BOB CAHILL, well ridden and away fast, raced in closest pursuit of ROCKET until in the last sixteenth, where he raced into the lead and won going away. ROCKET had no mishaps and set a fast pace, but tired in the last eighth. PEGASlS came with a rush after closing a big gap. FLOWERS OF LOT! ran well, but tired in the last few strides. SCNSPEKO moved up steadily in the last quarter and -made a game finish. GREAT JAZ set a fast early pace and had no mishaps. TEN-LBC, away poorly, raced well. STARTLE and BARRACUDA was also away poorly. MRU CELT was turned sideways at tbe start and, being practically left, was eased up after going the tirst quarter. Scratched — 79724Moonrakcr, 112.
