Won driving; second and third the same. BRUNSWICK began fast and, racing into the lead at once, set. a fast pace and, under a good ride, outstayed RAPID DAY. The latter was away slowly and had to close a big gap, but came 1 with a rash in the last quarter and made a game finish. SANDALWOOD ran a good race and finished well. LAST ONE raced prominently to the last eighth where he tired. PELION raced in closest pursuit to the stretch and gave way. MODNA was done for after going a half mile. Won easily; second and third driving. BRAVE BOB passed BARRAGE in the first half and drew away in the stretch to win as his rider pleased. BARRAGE set a fast pace, but was tiring in the last sixteenth and Just lasted to save hecond place. SAAR was in close quarters through the first quarter and, coming fast when ridden hard, would have been second in another stride. ELECTOR raced well. DOWN TOWN ran a fast half and quit. TANGARA was always far back. GRANITE WARE, in good form after a long retirement, moved up steadily after going the first quarter and, finishing fast and gamely, outstayed BRAEDALBANE. The latter was a forward contender from the start, but after taking the lead, tired near the end. ENERGY showed the most speed to the stretch, but began tiring in the last eighth. BRIGHT TOMORROW was in close quarters and had to be taken back frequently to avoid interference. NOEL closed a gap. SANOLA tired. CLARENCE ran poorly. MARGARET WINSOR ran a good race and will improve. UNITED VERDE was away stumbling and raced far back all the way.
