TO RACE AT NEW ORLEANS Horsemen at Hawthorne Already-Making Reservations for Next Winters Race Meeting. HAWTHORNE RACE TRACK, Aug. 26. The rush for stall reservations at New Orleans has already commenced for the winter meetings, which open Thanksgiving Day. The better class of horsemen racing at Hawthorne are determined to be in on time and Joseph A. Murphy, assistant to general manager Dy-mond at the Fair Grounds, is already be-seiged with applications. W. Perkins applied for twenty-five stalls for the public stable which he is training, which includes the horses of F. Grabner, Judge Allie Young and others. Mose Shapoff, the Cincinnati Stable in charge of J. Lowenstein, Art Goldblatt, Howard Oots, T. Crist, T. Cross, M. Lowenstein, John Lowe, A. Swenke, W. J. Potter, Southland Stable, J. T. Pendergast, Jones Stock Farm, W. A. Baumgartner and others are applicants for stable room. Judge Murphy has instructed owners to make direct application to Mr. Dymond. He will go to New Orleans in October and go over the list of applicants with whoever is placed in charge of the stalls.
