Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. FLAGSHIP ran a good race from the start, made up ground rapidly and, racing into the lead in the stretch, was going away at the end. TUSCULUM showed high speed and set a fast pace to the stretch, but tired near the end. SANFORD. on the inside all the way, was in close quarters on the stretch turn, but finished fast. McCRIMMON closed up tome ground in the stretch. GUN BOAT ran well, but tired in the. stretch. YOUNG AL was in a pocket for the best part of the race. Won driving; second and third tlio same. COCKNEY followed the early leader closely to the stretch, then moved up rapidly and outgamed LONG FOINT in the final drive. The latter showed high speed in pacemaking from the start and raced KING ONEILL II. into defeat, but tired at the end. FEYSUN began slowly, but moved up steadily and, coming fast through the stretch, was going fastest of all at the end. LEISCII ran a good raco and finished fast. DEFIANT was always outrun. The latter sprinted into a good lead, but tired badly in the final eighth. CHECK ran well to the last turn, but tired badly in the stretch and swerved to the inside at the end. SHUFFLE ALONG was rushed into the lead and raced RIVAL into defeat, but tired in the final drive. SARAZEN began slowly and was forced to come wide into the stretch, but finished fast and resolutely. MAD HATTER worked .his way up from a slow beginning and finished fast. CYCLOPS ran well. RIVAL set the early pace and quit. MOONRAKER and COMIXA bumped at the start and knocked an assistant starter down. BAFFLING ran well to the stretch.
