WISE COUNSELLOR IN PAST WORKOUT NEW YORK, N. Y., Sept 19. F. A. Burtons Wise Counsellor, conqueror of Epinard in the first of the International Specials over the three-quarter distance at Belmont I Park, was given part of his preparation for the mile race at Aqueduct this morning. The chestnut son of Mentor, with a heavy exercise boy in the saddle, enthused the rail birds at the Queens County course when he galloped a mile eased up at the end in 1:40. The fractional time for the trial follows: :23, 47, 1:13 and under restraint through the last eighth. He came out of the work in splendid condition.
