EPINARD WILL NEVER I RACE AGAIN NEW YORK, N. Y.. Oct. 20. Epinard, the famous French thoroughbred, hailed as the marvel of all Europe, which met four successive defeats on race trades in this "country, will never race again, it was stated today at the apartments of M. Pierre Wertheimer, owner of the champion three-year-olds of Europe. Mr. Wertheimer sails for France Wednesday. It is believed Epinard will be sent to the other side early in November. It was reported Wertheimer had refused an offer of 00,000 for the thoroughbred.
