3 i HORSES FOR ARIZONA RACES Plenty Material Available for Meeting at Phoenix Opening on November 10. PHOENIX, Ariz., Oct. 24. Horsemen in various parts of the country have been notified to withhold shipment of their charges to the Fair Grounds track on account of stabling accommodations having been exhausted by the numerous arrivals in the past week. Racing secretary W. W. Finn received requests for 217 head from Dallas, Texas, where they have been racing at the Texas State Fair. By forcing many stables to double-up and utilizing cattle stalls, room was made for fifty of these and Arthur Mc-Night, starter at Dallas, who is doing missionary work for the local track, was notified to reject the remaining. Applications from other points indicate that there will be plenty, of horses available for the twenty-four day meeting, which opens here November 10, under the auspices of the Arizona Jockey Club. Of the horses here, few are on the sick list and, with three weeks in which to rest up, horsemen expect the splendid, dry atmosphere to work wonders in conditioning horses that have had a hard campaign during the summer. .
