MABEL K. showed much speed and headed CAPTAIN COSTIGAN in the stretch, but could not withstand OAKWOODS challenge. CAPTAIN COSTIGAN showed the most speed to the last eighth, but tired when challenged. ST. QUENTIN ran well. HIDDEN JEAVEL quit in the final eighth. ROCK BOTTOM raced well to the last eighth and tired. JACQUES, under stout restraint, forced the pace to the stretch, but was crowded back by ROCK BOTTOM and quit.
