" ZEV IN BOWIE STAKES BALTIMORE, Md., Nov. G. Zev, the greatest money winner of all times, has been named for the Bowie Stakes, to which his age makes him eligible, according to an announcement made here today by Joe McLennan, racing secretary at Prince George Park. The four stakes on the Bowie calendar close Saturday at the course and at the Lexington Building office of the Southern Maryland Association. In recent notices the point seems to have been missed that the Southern Maryland Handicap, to be run on November 22, has been changed in name to the Gadsen D. Bryan Memorial Handicap. This is one of the three 0,000 stakes on the program. It is a race for all ages at a mile. The other 0,000 fixtures are the Thanksgiving Handicap for three-year-olds and upward at a mile and three-sixteenths, and the Endurance Handicap for two-year-olds at a mile. The other stake, one of ?7,500 value, is to be run November 17, and is a handicap for three-year-olds at a mile and an eighth.
