RAPID PROGRESS AT MIAMI Plant at Florida City Almost Completed Buildings and Track Proper Impress Visitor. A representative of DAILY RACING FORM inspected the new plant of the Miami Jockey Club recently and found construction work well advanced. Everything about the course has been planned and executed in the most modern manner and no expense has been spared to make the plant a real addition to the turf facilities of the country. The grandstand 5s completed except for the finishing touches, such as installation of, the chairs and similar final details. The, structure is really imposing. It is modeled i on the Belmont Park grandstand but, of course, is not as large. The clubhouse is an exceptionally line looking building and by the time the track is opened will be fitted with all modern equipment and conveniences. Few race courses in the country can boast of such a building as. this, which is architecturally and artistically a really rare piece of work. The stables, most of which are now completed, are also strictly modern and equipped with the conveniences that characterize the equine housing facilties of the countrys most progressive courses. The track proper, which was graded and completed before work on the grandstand and buildings was begun, appears to be in excellent condition. The rails have been built but the furlong poles have not as yet been placed. The entire plant compares favorably with the largest and most modern of northern tracks and promises to be something altogether new in winter, racing.
