HATS UP, coming with a rush in the last sixteenth, passed ANGON and was easing up at the finish. ANGON appeared to have begun first and led for most of the race. HOLLY BOY finished gamely. UNCLE BERT was driving hard at the end. It was foggy and impossible to distinguish colors with any degree of accuracy at any part of the race, until in the last sixteenth and at the finish.
