TRIMROSE worked her way to the front on the outside and set a fast pace, ridden out at the end, to hold ON TOP safe. The latter showed the most early speed and finished gamely, but tired after getting within a length of the winner. ENSLAVED ran -well, but tired and lost ground in the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. ST. LAWRENCE was quickly rushed into a long lead and won all the way, but tired in the final half mile and was being overhauled at the end. RUINE jumped well and, after being saved to the last half hile, was wearing the winner down rapidly at the end. WARRENTON was outrun, but raced gamely. CONTE DE FEE tired. FREDDEN ROCK showed speed on the flat, but did not jump well and fell at the last jump, but was remounted and finished. GRAYLETTE fell extremely lame and ran out at the tenth jump, but was taken back despite the lameness and taken over two more obstacles. DANIEL BOONE fell at the ninth jump. CHERRY PIE was away well, but was shuffled back to last place while gojng to the first turn, then gained steadily to the stretch and, coming fast on the outside of the Jeaders, wore SHUFFLE ALONG down in the final eighth and won going away, under a hard ride. SnUFFLE ALONG made the pacft fast, under good riding, but tired when challenged, a sixteenth out. TEN MINUTES closed a big gap and finished fast, getting up the last stride for third place. PRISCILLA RULEY tired and so did ABU BEN AHDEM. REPARATION was close up for a half. CAMPFIRE TALES began slowly and -was outrun to the stretch, but gained steadily in weaving his way through in the stretch and got up to win in the final stride. AOLANTE began fast and made the pace to near the end, but tired in the final sixteenth and barely outfinished DANBY. The latter raced close up from the start and finished fast and gamely. LADDIE BUCK tired. COURAGEOUS was forced back at the start, but recovered quickly and finished fast. HARLAN closed a big gap SLOAV AND EASY quit. FAENZA was outrun, but finished with a good display of speed. MUNGO set a good pace to the last turn and quit. LADY AUDREY ran well to the stretch.
