Won easily; second and third driving. SAGAMORE began slowly, moved up with a rush on the outside rounding the far turn, assumed an easy lead at the head of the home stretch and won going away. JOE JOE, a rapid beginner, showed early speed, but tired. CROMWELL dropped out rounding the far turn, but finished fast in the last eighth. LITTLE SMILE tired badly in the stretch run. Won driving: second and third the same. CHILE drew away into a long lead in the early stages, held sway throughout, but tired in the last eighth and had to be ridden out all through the home stretch. GRANDEST sayed ground entering the stretch, but was driving hard at the end to outstay BRUSH ALL. The latter finished fastest of all after closing a big gap and being outrun early. The latter raced in front for the first three-eighths, but tired when challenged. RECEIVER was pulled up when the start came; but closed a big gap to finish third. NEPTUNE rushed into a long lead while rounding the far turn, then tired liadly in the last quarter. LITTLE HOPE was staggering at the end to stall off the Tush of BEG PARDON.
