AVon ridden out; second and third driving. STAR OF EVE started fully in her stride, waited on MARGARET ELNORA till turning for home, where Roberts sent her into what appeared to be a safe lead, but she tired in the last eighth and had to be ridden out shandy to outlast MARGARET ELNORA. The latter appeared well beaten on the turn, but she came again in the final eighth and was fast wearing dowu the winner. MAYOR HOUSE was always well up and had 710 mishaps. KIRICWOOD lost considerable ground on the turns. QUINAM tired rapidly after looming up on the inside at the turn for home. The others were never contenders. Scratched S5572 Grey Rump, 109. AVon driving; second and third the same. ROSA ATKIN was outrun early but, saving ground leaving the back stretch, dashed to the front entering the stretch and fought it out gamely to win by a neck. She was possibly best. BRAZOS ran in closest pursuit of the winner, but lost ground entering the stretch. He appeared to have the winner beaten at the sixteenth post, but tired slightly near the end. BIG INDIAN had no mishaps, raced in a prominent position from the start and never threatened the leaders. LETTER F. showed good speed for a half mile, then tired slightly. NORFORD went into the lead with the rise of the barrier, but was done for after three-eighths. Scratched 78398 Krekzunas, 300. Overweight Letter I., 5 pounds. THIRD RACE 1 Mile. GLANMORE, outrunning the others from the start, was rated along to the stretch where he was taken out sharply and, passing ZING, was running away at the finish. FULL 0 FUN made up a world of ground on the last three-eighths on the outside and was easily second best. ROMULUS enm never get to the leaders and was in tight quarters rounding the first turn, tat suffered no interference and saved ground all the way. Won driving; second and third the same. SHE DEVIL vas rushed to the front at once and, holding sway throughout, shook off LONE PINE in the run down the back stretch. EYE BRIGHT had a rough trip to the first turn, saved ground the rest of the way and moved up menacingly in the stretch, but tired right at the end from hs early efforts. LONE PINE tried uuavailiugly to tope with his opponents and, though tiring at the end, hung on well. MALVERN was in tight quarters most of the way. AU REVOIR ran fairly well for hve-eighths. UP AND AT EM, slow getting his stride, went around all. but REJANE on the turn, made a determined effort to wear down the winner, but could not get up. LITTLE TOKALON set the pace for the first quarter, but dropped out when challenged. The others were thoroughly beaten. Scratched S293isSpecial. 112; Miss Shasta, 100.
