LATEST TURF GOSSIP FROM NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 29. R. Carter was granted a license to ride by the stewards Saturday. Jockey L. Lang is due to arrive here from Bowie Monday. Starter Hamilton has added Tiday, Fred Kinney and Miss June to the schooling list. W. A. Long, an aprentice rider attached to the stable of Joe Umsetter, arrived Saturday, and will be seen in the saddle shortly. Starter Hamilton began the work of schooling the yearlings to the barrier at the Fair Grounds Saturday morning. Twenty young horses were given their first lessons in post deportment. French Brooks arrived Saturday from Lexington with the stable of T. V. Montjoy, the "West Virginia turfman. The shipment in- i eluded Stargo. Hughes Graham, Attractive, Cobham and War Prize.
