RESULT OF DISQUALIFICATION LONDON, Eng.. Dec. 1. A Central News Sydney message states that Mr. Corteen and Mr. Tye, the joint owners of the race horse Purser, Mr. Godby, the trainer, and Cairns, the jockey, are suing the committees and members of the Victorian Racing Club, the Victorian Amateur Turf Club and the Stipendiary Stewards for damages in connection witli the disqualification of themselves and the horse, Pursor, for twelve months. They are also asking for damages over the enforced withdrawal of Heroic from the Victoria Derby and the Melbourne Cup. There was a public outcry because Purser ran so badly in the Coongy Handicap that his chance in the Caufield Cup was regarded as nil by the racing public, but, to their surprise, the horso won the Caufield Cup in a canter and the stable, a heavy betting one, netted 50,-000. The stewards took the matter up and the disaualification ensued.
