Leading Two-Year-Old Winner Master Charlie, bay celt, by Lord Archer Bachelors Choice, owned by William Daniels cf Chicago, was the leading two-year-old winner of 1924. He won seven races out of twelve starts and 5,525. His most notable successes of the year were in the rich Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga and in the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs. MASTER CHARLIE. Master Charlie began his turf career at the Tijuana track in March, where he won two cut of his three starts, including the Tijuana Futurity. Coming East later in the spring he won the Colorado Stakes at Jamaica and finished third in the Youthful Stakes. At Saratoga he won, as mentioned above, the Hopeful Stakes and then in the fall added the Remsen Handicap at Jamaica, a purse at Empire City and the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes to his list of victories.
