LATEST TURF GOSSIP FROM NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 13. Trainers licenses have been issued to W. J. Huff and Sam Olsen. Charlie Koerner has purchased at private sale from J. A. Coburn, the horses Dave Goldie, Canyon and St. Allan. Dave Vititoe, trainer of the stable of Mrs. J. Diebold, is able to resume his duties after suffering an attack of pneumonia. II. Stark, owner of Barney Google and some other horses being trained by W. H. Fizer, arrived Saturday for a brief visit. Joseph A. Murphy, assistant general manager of the Business Mens Racing Association, arrived Saturday morning from Chicago. J. L. Pontius has been approved as authorized agent for James II. Steffen and R. Scully has been approved as agent for Mrs. R. Scully. Samuel Olsen, who formerly raced a stable at the local tracks, has re-entered racing as an owner and has purchased the six-year-old horse. Jacinto, which he will race here. G. R. Allen arrived Saturday from Lexington, Kentucky, with his old campaigner, Calcutta, winner of the New Years Handicap of 1923 at the Fair Grounds track. Mr. Allens apprentice rider, A. Yillmore, did not come here with his employer. Instead, he went to Havana, to ride this winter for W. R. Padgett. 4
