"Won easily; second and third driving. AL LEVY began well and was saved under restraint until on the stretch turn, where he saved much ground and, racing into the lead in the stretch, won easing up. HEAD LINE was far back for a half mile, but came with a rush after raving ground when coming into the stretch. CLIQUE began well, but dropped far back and lost ground by coming wide into the stretch, but closed a big gap and finished fast. CARRIER also came fast through the stretch. VALENTINO showed speed. HUGHES GRAHAM lost ground coming wide ou the last turn. RED ARROW was gaining fast at the end. Won driving; second and third the same. LOAELINESS, racing prominently from the start, moved up steadily in the stretch and, finishing gamely under good riding, outstayed DORIUS. The latter, probably best, bod to be taken back repeatedly to avoid being cut off and had to come wide into the stretch, but finished fast and gamely. DESPAIR showed the most speed to the last eighth and only tired in the last sixteenth. McINTOSH ran well, but found the distance too far, and tired. TULALIP was done after going a half mile. LEOPARDESS was going fast and gaining, when his jockey took her back and it cost her second place. NASSAU was away poorly and closed an immense gap. SARKO ran as if unfit.
