The latter raced in closest pursuit, hut ran out when entering the stretch and tired after overhauling the leader. JOE JOE raced well and finished fast. The latter was hard ridden from the start and raced into the lead, but tired when the winner challenged. WAR GARDEN set a fast early pace and tired after going a halt mile. TRUE AMERICAN was in close quarters in the early racing and was taken up at the half-mile post, but saved ground on the stretch turn and finished fairly well.
