I i j CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES LOUISVILLE, ky., April 4. A chestnut colt by Midway, out of Sentimental, was foaled at W. F. Knebelkamps farm near this city Thursday. The Churchill Downs track, which was getting deep in dust, will hereafter be sprinkled regularly, according to superintendent "Tom" Young. The juvenile members of the J. E. Widener stable were given lessons at the starting gate by William Hamilton, who has assumed charge of the work. Five horses arrived Friday from E. F. Pritehards farm near Paris, Ky.. to fro into training. The list includes Extra Edition ■and Leon I ampy, owned by the Cincinnati Stable; Sunny Ducrow and Ararat, owned by Jake Ix venstein. and Karachi, the property of S. Singer. With the exception of Karachi all of the new arrivals have been turned over to "Jim" Kverman to train. • 1
