Won driving; second and third the same. PETER PIPER finished resolutely under a mild shaking up and held JOE JOE safe at the end, but pulled up lame. JOE JOE gained steadily after rounding the stretch turn, and was going fast at the end. THE GIRL set a good pace, but tired in the final eighth after racing RED SETH into defeat. HIGH PRIESTESS displayed the most early speed, but tired when challenged near the end. FRANK SUMPTER closed up much ground from a slow lieginning. FLOY LILLIE displayed much speed until midway of the stretch, then tired badly. DAN E. STEWART tired after going a half. SALVAGE was off badly. DlC DE GUISE at once raced into the lead anil drew away while rounding the far turn, but was tiring at the end and doing his best to retain his slight advantage. ZAINER always held the others safe and finished wearing the winner down. DAHINDA came fast through the stretch and cutgamed MY LORRAINE. The latter ran a fairly good race. STARMATIA finished fast near the inner rait and headed DORA LOTS in the final stride. The latter ran out slightly at the stretch head, but finished well. CAPTAIN ADAMS closed up gamely in the stretch and finished fast on the outside of the leaders. FEIGNED ZEAL closed a big gap. LADY LONGRIDGE tired badly after displaying nun li early speed.
