O RAY SON began somewhat slowly, but came with a rush after entering the stretch to take the lead by i pen daylight, but had to lie shaken up at the end to withstand the rush of MATINEE IDOL. The latter was in all sorts of trouble to the last turn and impeded many times and finally 1 got through an opening on the stretch turn and would have won in a few more strides. I.AMPO showed much speed in pac-inaking. but quit quickly when challenged. MISS EMMA ti. saved ground on the turns, but tiled in the final sixteenth. CI.AHKSON and iOI.DEN BED quit.
