MORE LOCAL APPLICATIONS J. J. Rowan, J. Dowell and G. M. Anderson Seek Reservations for Hawthorne Meeting. Two more Illinois-owned stables were reg- istered with the Chicago Business Mens I Racing Assocation yesterday when the stable . list of J. J. Rowan of the Chicago Board of , Trade was mailed by his trainer, William J. : Curran, from San Diego. Calif. The stable consists of the two-year-olds Delia Y. and Sequez arid the five-year-old Boys Believe He. John Dowell of Petersburg. 111., registered the horse Vacation Time. A pen nal letter was also received by I general manager Murphy from R, W. Collins. I the owner of Lee O. Cotner. enclosing a photograph of the colt taken by the owner I himself on April 6 at Churchill Downs. The picture shows that the colt has developed int a fin looking three-year-old and there is no question that unless something happen* to him he will be a formidable candidal.- for the bis turf prizes. Mr. Collins st.it d that the colt was taking his training â– plendtdly and that if no accident interfered. h - planned to take him to Iimlico the latter I part of the month, where the colt is en-I gaged in the Dixie Handicap and Preakneaa, After the running of the Preakness. the colt j will be shipped to Churchill Downs for the Derby. Mr. Collins stated that he knew I the colt had lots of friends in Chicago and that tie hoped to have him in prime condition for the Derby here. The application of G. M. Anderson was received from Tijuana. In the list are Lord Allen, Hyanpom, The I-amb. Krekzunas, Marion North, Gold Bangle, Settee, Canog.i, Mayor House and Mt. Rose.
