The riding of Harry Baird, who stands at the head of the list of winning jockeys, was a signal feature of the meeting. The showing of this bov is truly remarkable and his im- provement is especially marked. There were just 102 races on the flat. Baird rode in 82 jof these races and won 25 of them.
