The Exposition Park Jockey Club has made provisions to look after the comfort of those that journey out to witness the sport during the meeting that is scheduled to run twenty-one days. The parking space for automobiles has been enlarged so those that motor here from Chicago and other points will have no inconvenience to encounter upon their arrival at the track. The approaches have all been improved, so there will be no delay or con-gestion, such as there was last fall. The concessions under the grandstand have all been rearranged so as to provide ample room for those that are speculatively inclined. The track has yielded to the work that has been put on it for the last two weeks and will be lightning fast for the opening days racing unless some inclement weather sets in before Thursday. There has been a ten-foot fence built around the outside fence to keep anyone from getting on the track during the running of a race, as there was a serious accident happened last fall when one man got excited to the extent that he ran out on the track when the horses were rounding the first turn. He was knocked down and painfully injured, also causing the horse and jockey to fall. Two new stables that will house fifty horses apiece have been built. The park in . general is in spic and span order, as paint ; has been applied lavishly wherever it was i needed.
