SCARE CROWS GOOD RACE Beats Medina and Reap in Best Offering at Brooklyn Park — Jaunebar Outlasts Tister. CLEVELAND. Ohio. June 11— B. Creech furnished the winner of the fifth race, which attracted the best field at Brooklyn Park this afternoon, in Scare Crow. The Half Rock gelding was outpaced by Medina and Freedoms Call during the first half mile. Jockey Paden then made his move on the outside and, overhauling the leaders in the stretch, drew clear near the end. Medina, I the pacemaker, held the remainder safe. ■ Reap outlasted Freedoms Call for the show I honors. Most favorable conditions prevailed today and a good crowd witnessed the sport. The locally owned Boosting accounted for the opening dash after leading by a comfortable margin throughout. Golden Maiden and Sindora held the others safe at all stages. Wanderlust had the speed of her rivals from end to end in the second race, but was hard pressed near the finish to retain a slight advantage over Lotto. Miss Emerson was a tiring third. It was only after a keen stretch struggle that Jaunebar got up to beat Tister in the last few yards of the third race. Tister, as usual, displayed the most early speed. Adjuster got up in the last stride for the show honors, j Peter Brown showed the way for the first I half mile of the fourth race, where Devil j Girl took commantl and thereafter the result was never in serious doubt. Trafalgar easily beat Peter Brown. Carlos Enrique began in a tangle, went wide and was never prominent. Glenn and Pawnbroker contested the leadership closely to the stretch in the sixth race but the former had the most in reserve for the final drive.
