FALL MEETING AT AURORA Announce Nineteen Days of Rac ¬ ing From Sept 12 to Oct 3 Hartln Kathanson to Hare Pall Snperrlslon Or r the Sport Biff Imcrease In I Monetary Offerings i AURORA 111 June 27 Officials of the Exposition Park Jockey Club announced late today plans for a fall race meeting to be Held following Hawthorne The fall dates will be September 12 to October 3 providing nineteen days of the sport General manager Trimble stated that ar ¬ rangements had been completed with Martin Kathanson to supervise and govern the work of racing in all of Its branches Judge Nathanson will come to Aurora from Cincin ¬ nati following the close of the summer race meeting at the new Coney Island race course September 10 10M M N Macfarlan will serve as one of the stewards and Charles Henry who will act as associate racing secretary under judge Nathanson at the Coney Island Sum ¬ mer meeting has been engaged to ssrve at Aurora as racing secretary Harry Mor rissey will act again as starter Charles Campau Francis Dunne and Arthur E Blanchard will also be membeis of the official racing family Announcement of the remainder of the officials will be made within a short time With the announcement of the major of ¬ ficials for the Fall meeting came the state ¬ ment of a substantial raise in purses a survey of the current meeting showing the increase to be justifiable For the nine ¬ teen days of the Fall meeting there will be a total offering of between 5135000 and 1140000 and on each of the four Saturdays of the meeting will be provided special feature events of 2000 52500 53003 and 15000 15000The The dally program win feature a twelve or fifteen hundred dollar handicap and not less than four races of one thousand dol ¬ lars each This assures the campaigning horsemen that there will be only one or two races for purses under JlOOO any day dayThis This prospectus for the fall meeting at Aurora will be certain to attract a superior class of horses to Exposition Park and re ¬ sult in a meeting far surpassing any held at this track
