Dick Welles Selections SelectionsAt At Aurora w SETTEE GUS 11 C T WORTniNGTOX Of the platers that hook up in the opening race SETTEE seems to have the best chance of scoring He raced fairly consis ¬ tently at Tampa and was home an easy winner in his last start there If he would give up the same effort today he should again be the first to greet the judges GUS R was in fine form when the Columbus meeting came to an end and his last out was also a win He may be good enough to land the place money here if he would run the same kind of a race C T WORTH ¬ INGTON was a fair racer in his juvenile year but did not do so well after that If his last race is any indication of his present condition he may be on the way towards regaining that form formKEllllY KEllllY GIRL CHESTNUT GIRL THOMAS PIATT PIATTA A juicy play is spotted in the second race another sprinting affair over the three quarters distance Fifteen are entered here and a large number of them are apt to be seen going postward when the bugle sounds This trick is KERRY GIRL She will break from the position on the inside rail and if she is fortunate enough to avoid the jamj ming right after the start should step out into Uie lead and hold it throughout the race CHESTNUT GIRL turned in a win ¬ ning performance in her last out which was at Akron If she would run the same kind of a race today she should be able to takei care of the place money THOMAS PIATT is an in and outer but well able to beat this kind of a bunch if in the mood He is the danger in the race and will bsar watching watchingOUll OUll BUDDY HARRY H KILAUEA KILAUEAThe The early speed of OUR BUDDY may work to his advantage today and enable him to graduate from the ranks of nonwinners In his most recent races he has been close up all the way only to give up the battle when the stretch racing began The shorter distance of the five and a half furlongs should be to his liking and we are expecting him to prove best here HARRY B has been tried over the longer distances but he too is partial to his sprinting distance He is a fairly con ¬ sistent one and may grab off the place end of the purse KILAUEA did not seem to like the courses at Maryland and showed nothing in his races there after being shipped from Tijuana At the latter course he was always close up in his races and if he would show the same brand of racing today as he did there might stick it out long enough to save the small end of the purse purseGREEX GREEX BLAZES COLUMBIA II GREEX WOODS WOODSThe The fourth number brings out some of the better grade of horses and a good contest should result We are picking GREEX BLA ¬ ZES to lead the way home to COLUMBIA II and GREEN AVOODS The former raced pretty well at Bowie and Pimlico and beat betterv horses vthan she meets here If she would give her best efforts think she will triumph COLUMBIA II turned in a win ¬ ning race at the last Bowie meeting and was also in the money ther on several other occasions She rates next best to GREEX BLAZES and should be able to hold the others safe for the place money Greer Woods is in good form right now and while she does not stack up as well as the first two mentioned seems to be much the best of the others othersDIZZY DIZZY BLOJfDE STRUT MISS LIZZIE MONDAY MORNING MORNINGThe The Fleetwood Handicap to be run as the fifth is the intended feature and brings out some good ones to race over the threequar ters distance DIZZY BLOXDE which per ¬ formed so well at MiamJ last winter and later at Pimlico is picked to be home the winner She possesses a fins flight of speed and if in a running mood should down this bunch STRUTT MISS LIZZIE is getting back to her best form and appears to be the one to chase the winner home If the j early pace isnt too fast she should race as has been her custom and come from be ¬ hind in the stretch MONDAY MORNING is to shoulder top weight in the race but the best we can see for him is the short end of the purse He did some fine racing at Tampa but seems to have trained off a bit If he is in any kind of form at all might be the one to show SANOLA is in condi ¬ tion at the present and one of her good races would find Her close up at the finish finishJOHN JOHN FINN INYICTUSrrMOLINERO INYICTUSrrMOLINEROJOHN JOHN FINN on his Tampa races seems much the best of the twelve named to go in the one mile sixth race Trotters Dick Fin nell gelding has been noted chiefly for his ability to negotiate soft going but on occa ¬ sions he shows the same speed on a fast strip Basing our selection on the last race he showed he should have the speed of this bunch and should down them easily IN VICTUS may raca into the place Throw out this ones last gallop It was in the nature of a qualifier for better things to come When right and he usually reaches that stage after a few hard races he can hold his own with a good class of platers MOLINERO has the foot to hold the remain ¬ ing eligibles safe for the show money moneyMERCUTIO MERCUTIO CHEER LEADER INVIGORATOR INVIGORATORMERCUTIO MERCUTIO is ripe for brackets and seems to be dropped into the proper spot in the good night tilt He turns in few bad races and in his starts at Columbus this spring had most of his speed MART BUNCH beat him in the last but MERCUTIO was not up to a bruising race The race took the kinks out of him however and he should be drawn tight for a sharp effort today CHEER LEADER should plug the two hole He may be a bit hoary with age but he can still stay along with platers on his own level INVIGORATOR played to show may return dividends and plenty of them One Best Bet KERRY GIRL in Second Race
