AIDING EEMOUNT SERVICE NEW YORK X T June 2 Willis Sharpe Kilmer has donated a service for 1 27 to tht Remount Service to his well known horse Sun Briar Kilmer has a farm at Harrison burg Va not far from the Front Royal Station and he was among those present at the recent horse show held by tlie govern ¬ ment at that point The gift came through Major S I Reynolds who is in charge of the Front Royal depot at present A good mare will be selected and the produce should bring some real money into the Remount treasury Siren by Man O War out of Star Puss by Jim Gaffney who raced so well for the Rancocas Stable last year was the result of a gift service and enriched the Remount coffers to the extent of 9000 bringing that figure as a yearling Siren is now one of the brood mare band at Rancocas She had to be retired because it became impossible to plate her behind She would not let a black ¬ smith touch her hind feet and Sam Hil dreth gave up the fight rather than get a man hurt Siren should breed welL
