"SPITE FENCE AT LAUREL BALTIMORE, Md., April 12.— According to President A. J. Cumtnings of the Laurel State Fair Association, the status of the "spite fence" proceedings which have been in litigation for some time will be determined, it is hoped, within the near future by a permanent injunction. This disputed territory occupies an area thirty feet by sixteen feet in the back stretch in the vicinity of the five and a half furlong post The complainants, the Smith Estate, were recently granted permission by the association to survey the ground and have erected a box-like structure on it contending that this was necessary to the work of the engineers.
