Start bad and slow. Won driving: second and third the same. TORCHER was far back for three-eighths, then came fast through the- stretch, though coming wide, and got up to win in the last stride. STINTSON, away well, raced into the bad at once, but he-.an tiring in the last sixteenth, after seemingly having the race won. WATCH IT raced prominently !ir the entire way and outstayed LOU1SYILI.E AND NASHYII.I.E. The latter was in a tangle in the early running and closed a big gap. CAPT. SALFLEY fell in the first eighth. Start good and slow. Won driving: second and third the same. ATRENNE, hard ridden for the entire race and saving much ground on the turns, finished gamely and got up to win in the last stride. TCHADFLYER was outpaced for the first quarter and raced v ide on the last turn, costing him much ground, then finished fast. CHARLES ROP-INSON ran a good race all the way. SPRING BUD was away prominently and showed the most sliced until tiring in the last sixteenth. DKNTESS showed high peed in the middle quarter and was eased up in the stretch. SIXTY was restrained for the first half mile, then raced into second plane and made a game finish. PREFEREXCE was hard ridden while forcing the early pace and tired when reaching the stretch. NOREASTER showed fine speed and. setting a fast pace, saved much ground on the turns, but ould not withstand the speed of the winner. BOX AIRE closed a big gap in the last quarter, but tired slightly near the end and showed decided lameness after the race. MY EVA raced in the middle of the track for the entire race and, finishing fast, was slowly wearing the winner down. JAXft C. showed much the most early speed, but tired in the stretch.
