HERE AND THERE ON THE TURF Continued from second page the Illinois Jockey Club to be run at the Washington Park track in Chicago next Saturday and the Latonia Derby on the Saturday following Those two big races are like the Belmont Stakes at a mile and a half distance and each has an added money value of 25000 25000But But the Queens County Jockey Club which begins its meeting today also has a pair of threeyearold races which while not of a like value with those of the Middle West will keep some of the New York horses at home These are the Broadway Stakes to be run on June 15 and the Shevlin Stakes that is down for decision June 21 The Broadway Stakes is a mile and a sixteenth dash to which 2500 is added while the Shev ¬ lin Stakes is at a mile with 5000 added Both of these races will have a consider ¬ able value for eachreceived a liberal list of nominations
