NOTED SIRE LEMBERG DEAD SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. NEWMARKET, England, April 19.— The English breeding industry suffered a severe loss today when the stallion Lemberg drop-ped i dead at the Hamilton Stud, near here. The son of Cyllene — Galieia, by Galopin, was twenty-one years old and had proved as successful in the stud as he was on the race track. Lemberg won a total of 04,705 in seventeen victories out of twenty-four starts and numbered among his successes the Epsom Derby. In this greatest of English turf classics in 1910 he defeated, among others, Xeil Gow and Swynford. Lemberg raced in the colors of "Mr. Fairie." In 1922 Lemberg headed the list of leading sires in England. His progeny have won almost 50,000.
