WHALE OF DERBY FIELD Those who witnessed the 1928 Derby had the good fortune to see quite a remarkable band of thoroughbreds compete for the "blue ribbon" of the turf. Reigh Count, Misstep, Toro, Sun Beau, Distraction, Petee-Wrack and Sortie made up a whale of an aggregation of stars, based on their later accomplishments in racing.
