ZEVAR, pinched back in the first sixteenth, came through on the turn and, improving his position on the outside, outgamed COMMON. The latter, away forwardly and rushed into the early lead, set an even pace and held on well. MAKE SPEED, prominent throughout, tired after three-quarters, but was easily best of the others. PARTIES, close up early, tired in the last quarter. INDIAN GAME stumbled and fell after passing the five-eighths post. FAIR BLANCHE fell over him. The latter, showing the most speed, drew away early, then tired in the last eighth. BANKER SAM, forced back after the start, worked his way up on the inside, but could not get up. NARDO, slow to get going, closed resolutely on the far turn, then tired in the stretch. FOOLISH FELLOW quit. Scratched 69067 Loyal Princess, 96. The latter closed resolutely in the stretch. NEALON KAY lacked speed, but raced resolutely at the end. BOBS PLAY, STRETCHER and MIKE CAREY raced each other into defeat in the first three-quarters.
